Applicants must apply for vacancies in a single state, as those who apply for a position in one state cannot apply for roles in another. The bank will create a state-wise merit list, and selected candidates will undergo a probation period of two years from the date of joining.
Union Bank of India Recruitment 2024: Eligibility
Candidates must hold a full-time or regular bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized university or institution. Applicants should be at least 20 years old and no older than 30 to apply for the Local Bank Officer post. The age eligibility cut-off is set to October 1, the first day of the online registration period, while the educational qualification cut-off date is November 13. Government of India reservation rules will be applicable to eligible candidates.

Selection Process: Union Bank of India Recruitment 2024
Candidates must complete a four-stage selection process, which may include an online test, group discussion (if conducted), application screening, and/or in-person interviews, depending on the number of qualified applicants. The exam will cover topics such as Reasoning and Computer Aptitude, General/Economy/Banking Awareness, Data Analysis and Interpretation, and English Language.
The written test will consist of 155 questions with a total of 200 marks. A penalty will be applied for incorrect answers in the objective test; for each incorrect answer, 0.25 (one-fourth) of the marks assigned to that question will be deducted.
Candidates must achieve a minimum score in each section of the online examination and meet an overall minimum score to qualify for the interview stage. Based on the number of available vacancies, the Bank will set cut-off scores, and candidates meeting these cut-offs will be shortlisted for interviews.
