Invitation For Chhattisgarh Young Scientist Congress

Chhattisgarh Young Scientist Congress (CYSC) was launched by Chhattisgarh Council of Science and Technology (CCOST), Raipur to promote the young talents of the state. Young Scientist Congress is organized every year to mark the discovery of "Raman Effect" by Indian Physicist Sir Chandrasekhar Venkata Raman on 28th February. The main focus of the Young Scientist Congress is to provide a right platform for the upcoming enthusiastic young researchers and to promote them to excel in their fields.

We are pleased to inform you that Pt. Ravishankar Shukla University, Raipur and Chhattisgarh Council of Science & Technology will be hosting the eighteenth CG Young Scientist Congress (18th CYSC) on 3rd and 4th May, 2023 at Raipur. To promote young researchers in different disciplines, it has been made a custom to felicitate one young researcher from each discipline based on the relevance of their research work and presentation in the Congress.

Eligibility Criteria for Participation

  • Age on 28 February 2023, should be below 32 years for male and 35 years for female candidates. However, due to the emergence of Covid-19, age relaxation of 3 years for both male and female candidates would be considered for only those who had registered for participation in 18th CYSC-2020 with proper evidence.
  • Research experience of two years after obtaining post-graduate degree in the science subjects listed above or bachelor's degree in case of medical/ engineering/technology subjects is the basic requirement.
  • Original research paper with single authorship will be acceptable.
  • The work should have been carried out in the State of Chhattisgarh and not presented/ published elsewhere is essential requirement.
  • Awardees of previously held Chhattisgarh Young Scientist Congress shall not be eligible for participation, for a period of three years, from the date of last award.
  • Kindly note that Plagiarism will be checked and summarily rejected, if found to contain plagiarised material.

INCENTIVE TO AWARDEES

  • A certificate with a cash prize of Rs. 21000.00. Single visit shall be provided for pursuing his/her research work in any National laboratory/Research Centre/ Recognized University engaged in advanced research in India for two months duration. Awardees will be eligible for TA/DA during their stay in research establishment as per the norms of the council. He/She has to avail the facility within two years of receiving the award.

Guidelines for Preparing Abstract & Paper

Research papers are invited from Young Research Fellows, Post Doctoral Fellows, National Associates and Faculty Members working in any recognized private, government or autonomous body.

ABSTRACTS

  1. Abstract in two copies must be of minimum 100 words and maximum 250 words of original research work is to be submitted.
  2. Abstract must be in the following pattern:
    • Subject/discipline, under which it is to be included, should be written on top left corner.
    • Title in capital and bold letters, font size 14.
    • Name, institution, e-mail address font size 12.
    • The entire abstract must be on A-4 size white sheet in space of 25 cm length and 16 cm width.
    • It must be typed in single space using MS-word in Times New Roman, Font Size 12.
    • Abstract sheet should not be folded.

Authors should also submit the ABSTRACT AND FULL PAPER IN SOFT COPY through Online website: www.cgysc.in and also submit the all soft copies through e-mail to “cgysc2023@gmail.com” otherwise it will not appear in the Abstract Book. The discipline in which paper is to be considered should be clearly marked on the envelope. The duration for oral presentation will be of 20 minutes followed by 5 minutes discussion.


FULL PAPER

Three copies of full paper to be submitted to Prof. M.K. Deb, Head, SoS Environmental Science for evaluation, must be prepared in following sequence:

  1. Title
  2. Name/Institutional Address/Email id
  3. Abstract
  4. Introduction
  5. Experimental details, methods, materials etc.
  6. Observation and results
  7. Discussion
  8. Acknowledgement
  9. Reference according to the guidelines of Elsevier Publishers.
  10. The paper must indicate the discipline under which it is to be considered
