- Technician Grade I: 1,092 vacancies

Railway Recruitment 2024 Important Guidelines
Before re-opening the application window, the RRBs released a notification on their official websites with key instructions for both new and existing candidates. Here are the important points to note:
- Candidates who have applied for one or more categories and paid the required fees are considered existing candidates. They can access the application window without paying any additional fees. These candidates can apply for both existing and newly added categories, as well as modify previously selected ones.
- Existing candidates can only update their educational qualifications, re-upload photographs, and signatures, and change their RRB and post preferences.
- Existing candidates do not need to submit fresh applications.
- New candidates include those who previously submitted applications but did not pay the fee, those who applied and paid for the Category 1 post (Technician Grade 1 Signal) but not for the Technician Grade 3 post, and those who applied for other RRB recruitment drives this year but not for Technician under CEN 02/2024. Additionally, individuals who have not applied for any RRB recruitment this year are also considered new candidates.
- During the re-opened application window, new candidates can apply for Technician positions under Categories 2 to 40.

Educational Qualification
- Candidates must pass Graduation, B.Tech, or Diploma in Physics, Electronics, Computer Science, IT, or Instrumentation.
- Candidates must pass the Matriculation with an ITI in a related field or complete their 12th (PCM).
Age Limit
The age limit is 18-36 years. Age relaxation as per the railway board rules.
Railway Recruitment 2024: Application Fee
Candidates will have an opportunity to edit their application forms between October 17 and 21, 2024 by paying a modification fee of ₹250. New candidates can make changes according to the guidelines specified in the employment notification. Existing candidates, however, will have limited access to modifications, allowing them to update their educational qualifications, zone, and post preferences, as well as their photo and signature.
For the RRB Technician recruitment, candidates in the General category will be required to pay an application fee of ₹500, while the fee for SC, ST, Female, Transgender, and EWS candidates is ₹250.
